FAIRY GODMOTHER OF WEDDINGS

Turns “New lungs for Keith” into “Wedding Bells for Sarah”

AND put 24,000 lbs of food in Food-banks across the GTA!

On February 14, 2013 Keith Childerhose proposed to his beautiful bride to be, Sarah Taylor of Oakville, just weeks following a life-changing double lung transplant.  After heading up a campaign to raise awareness for the “be a donor” program, Sarah was warmed up and entered them into a Wedding Saviours FREE WEDDING CONTEST  hosted by www.WeddingSaviours.ca …and WON!  The final three couples were sent to collect non-perishable food items in addition to votes as part of the winning criteria. Together they collected an astounding 24,000+ pounds of food which was distributed to 11 food & water programs across the GTA!

Wedding Saviours is an online Wedding Directory of socially aware businesses that host contests to give away Free Weddings to couples encountering hardship!  Members sign up online for a team/contest and then “pay-it-forward” with their product or service to the winning couple in their community.  With 65+ businesses on the GTA Team, this wedding prize package is valued at more than $80,000.00 retail. This “Wedding Dream Team” was brought together by Eddie Suliman of Mystical Weddings and Events under the guidance of Team Leader Jane Dayus-Hinch, host of Wedding SOS. Jane has been portrayed on “Reality TV” as a fairy “Godmother to Weddings” by granting 3 wishes to disorganized couples in each episode. Now she’s making a difference in the Real world – “I am delighted by the outcome of the contest and we shall now look forward to planning a fantastic wedding with Sarah and Keith.  Wedding Saviours is here to make it known that the Wedding Industry is a caring industry and we want to help!” she illuminates.

When lung disease took over their world, Sarah was driven to raise awareness for www.beadonor.ca given her experience; she built an online community where her words came to inspire and educate thousands. She has encouraged and supported MANY patients and families waiting for organ donation.  After almost 7 years of living together, raising their families and building a business together, marriage never seemed to be in the cards and was never enough of a priority for Sarah or Keith.  Following Keith’s gift of “life”, his perspective changed and nothing became more important than marrying the woman he loved and who so obviously loved him deeply.

The community was quick to flood the happy couple with congratulations!  We are all excited to watch this Wedding come to life under the leadership of Dayus-Hinch, who brings 28+ years of wedding planning experience to the GTA Team. First on the list – dress shopping at Royal Posh in Oakville! The wedding will take place this Fall – follow their journey as the plans unfold at www.WeddingSaviours.ca.
